Dunstane House Hotel dates back to 1852 to a design of William Playfair, one of Edinburgh's most famous architects. Now a boutique hotel privately-owned and managed by Derek and Shirley Mowat, each of the sixteen bedrooms offers a fresh take on country house hotel charm. You can look forward to restful nights in four-poster beds with subtle accents of current style. Or stretch out king-size and enjoy all the period details and in-room features.

Dunstane House is joined by an eighteen-bedroom sister hotel, Dunstane City Hotel, located directly opposite. Dunstane City is a modern luxury boutique hotel, with 18 stylish and contemporary bedrooms. Dunstane Hotels work as well together for weddings and civil ceremonies, conferences or family celebrations as they do separately.

Though they differ in look, both hotels provide the same warmth of welcome and level of personal attention and on a reasonable budget. At Dunstane, we know you by name, not by room number.
